Our Story
It all starts at our family farm.
Every day, we have plants to grow, live food insects to care for, animals to nurture, orders to prepare, family to cherish and a multitude of tasks to keep the farm rolling along.
With 3 generations of experience in aquaculture and a genuine passion for aquariums, reptiles and the environments they depend on, we've spent years learning what works, what doesn't, and what makes the difference when you're caring for living creatures.
That knowledge comes from being close to it.
On our Queensland farm, we work with plants and feeder insects that need daily attention. We understand how to grow and prepare plants so they can handle the journey to your home and transition to your aquarium. We carefully handle and pack live insects and other delicate products because we know they are vital food for countless animals across Australia.
And our experience goes well beyond what we produce ourselves.
Over the years, we've built relationships with trusted Australian and New Zealand suppliers and specialist brands, and created quality products that are made by our trusted overseas manufacturers.
We choose them because we know what we're looking for.
To us, quality starts at the source.
It starts with how something is grown, raised, selected, prepared and packed. It starts with understanding the environment it comes from and what it needs to arrive in the best possible condition.
And it doesn't stop when the box leaves the farm.
We're proud of the knowledge we've built over the years, but we're also still learning every day. New products, new techniques, new species and new ways of doing things keep us curious. That's part of what we love about this industry.
Most importantly, we know that the things we send out aren't simply products.
They're going into someone's aquarium.
They're becoming part of someone's terrarium.
They're food for an animal someone cares about.
They're plants someone has spent time growing and nurturing.
We understand that because we care about these things too.
So when something leaves our hands, we want to be confident putting our name behind it.
We don't want to simply tell you. We want the quality of what we produce, the products we choose, the way we look after your order and our customer service to show you.
From our Queensland farm, through our hands, and into your home, we are committed to doing things properly.
Our family loves to provide the building blocks so you can create homes, habitats and aquariums for your beloved animals and help you to care for and nurture them every week of the year.
That's our story.
And we're delighted to share it with you.
