How Much Substrate Do I Need?

1. Multiply the enclosure length by width and desired substrate depth, usually 5–10cm.
2. Divide the result by 1,000.
3. The result is the approximate weight required in kilograms.

Example: 60cm × 30cm × 5cm = 9,000. Divided by 1,000, this equals approximately 9kg.
