Sphagnum Moss is a versatile and extremely important component for many terrariums and vivariums. Completely free of any impurities and contamination, it is essential as a humidifier material, an incubation medium or as a substrate for live plants

As an invaluable humidifier, it can hold moisture up to 20 times its dry weight and, unlike other organic matter in humid environments, it does not decompose quickly.

Sphagnum moss helps create a humid, naturalistic habitat for moisture-loving reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. It also provides a suitable growing medium for tropical terrarium and vivarium plants.

Directions

Spread evenly over the terrarium base to a depth of approximately 4–5cm. Create deeper and shallower areas to suit the habitat design. For planting, use enough substrate to cover roots and hold plants firmly.

Use alone or combine with other Jurassic Natural substrates, tropical coco soil or Rainforest Frog Substrate. Spot-clean as required and replace or top up regularly.
